Is the room I have booked exclusive for my event?
Yes, the function space at Broughtons at the Bay is reserved on an exclusive hire basis
What is the latest time my event can run to?
Monday – Thursday & Sundays: 2.00am.
Friday & Saturday: 3.00am.
Are underage guests able to attend my event?
Yes, they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and full details need to be provided to your event manager prior to the event.
Is there natural light in the room?
Yes, Broughtons at the Bay is designed with floor to ceiling glass to maximise the amount of natural light throughout, not to mention the ocean-views and allow guests to enjoy the spectacular Port Stephens sunsets.
What time can I access the venue?
Access times will be listed on your event proposal. Please liaise with your Event Manager if you require extra time, as additional room hire or security charges may occur.
What are the maximum capacities of the room?
We can accommodate up to 160 seated or 300 standing guests. However, these numbers are subject to the theme, decor and styling of the event.

What audio visual equipment is available at the venue?
Please speak to the Events Manager to discuss your audio visual equipment requirements
Do I have to supply my own music?
We will work with you to decide if that is necessary, or if we can provide music for you.
Do you have an in house florist?
We work with a local, Nelson Bay florist who has done many functions and weddings with us and is of the high standard we demand. Your Events Manager will work with you to help guide the florist to your vision and requirements.
